Position Overview
Application support specialist provide application maintenance and support to the business entities to minimize service disruption and facilitate operations
Key Responsibilities
Provide Tier1 support to the customers and internal employees through monitoring and resolving support requests initiated via different mediums like-
o Email
o Phone
o Ticketing system
- Provide excellent customer service in gathering information to diagnose the issues and provide a clear resolution for it
- Accountable for issue resolution and escalation
- Acquire adequate knowledge of the business process and applications for immediate and effective assistance
- Prepare a knowledgebase for frequently asked questions with their solution for self-service/education of internal & external customers
- Triage the problem by involving various stakeholders and help identify the root cause
- Identifying known errors and problem trends and finding permanent solutions
Required Skills
- 5+ years required of experience in following areas:
- Proven track record for meeting & exceeding goals and objectives
- Excellent customer service in communicating with the customer
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Strong communication skills (written and oral)
- Proficient in Word, Excel and Outlook
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Excellent prioritization skills
- Basic knowledge of SQL and UNIX/Linux
- Technical troubleshooting skills
- Aptitude towards Learning and adopting new processes
Optional Skills
- Candidate with prior experience in any of the below mentioned areas/applications would be preferred-
- MS Dynamics CRM
- MS Dynamics AX
- E-Commerce solution
- Ticketing systems
