Job Description:

Job Purpose:

As Head of Digital Channels, you will run a highly skilled and dedicated team of digital product and channel managers, forming the ‘brains’ of the Branchless Banking team. The team will work closely with our Fintech partner to design, deploy and manage products that drive user growth, revenue and engagement in the Digital Financial Services space. You will also be responsible for developing and managing existing and new digital channels for delivery of services and products to our consumers  The Head of Digital Products and Channels will additionally also have responsibility for setting the pricing strategy and market positioning for FINCA Branchless Banking. Dynamic, results-driven leader needed to play a critical thought leadership role in accelerating digital competencies within FINCA bank. This leader will develop and execute FINCA Bank’s digital banking strategy and be responsible for deploying superior digital experiences within and across the online and mobile banking platforms. The Head of Digital Products and Channels will bring actionable insights to inform the digital strategy and identify new digital product/service opportunities. This leader will oversee the team responsible from driving self-service digital activities and transaction migration.

The position will have revenue responsibility.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Experience of Leading a Digital Product team and proven experience in driving digital channel objectives and product improvements

  • Develop and secure agreement for the digital vision and strategy for consumers that takes into account business needs to meet target segments, user needs, and emerging capability.

  • Work closely with the senior leadership team in the development and delivery of the digital vision for consumers and related wider corporate strategy and business objectives.

  • Influence and lead top level negotiations with digital partners to ensure that the business secures best value, accelerates its online development and is successful in the multi-channel environment.

  • Lead and manage Digital operations and delivery to ensure business continuity of consumer digital products and services.

  • Develop and lead appropriate monetization opportunities via advertising, sponsorship, licensing and commercial partnerships to users and user organizations.

  • Defines the digital banking strategy for the business and refines the annual roadmap

  • In depth knowledge of end to end digital management practices including an excellent understanding of all digital channels and a proven track record in the ability to use these to maximum effectiveness

  • Extensive digital experience ideally in a regulated environment

  • Responsible for design and implementation of the digital transformation program

  • Develops and implements a consistent user experience across all CFG online and mobile properties

  • Builds highly effective, highly motivated team of colleagues and partners

  • Manages the development of annual budgets and forecasts

  • Tireless watchdog for industry trends and changes in customer preferences

  • Digital Product Strategy: • Develop a comprehensive strategic plan for our products and platforms, which aligns with the wider FINCA strategy, and implement an actionable roadmap of releases/launches that demonstrate measurable growth within a defined budget. • Implementation of development timeline and methodologies, ensuring timely delivery of products and services.Devlope pricing strategy to drive profitability and growth of our products

  • Platform Improvements: • Constantly look for ways to increase our customer engagement value through incremental feature changes. • Use metrics and data analysis to define a comprehensive understanding of our audience and how we can serve them most effectively. • Evaluation and recommendation of middleware and external technology solutions.

  • Innovation: • Focus on identifying emerging platforms where FINCA can have a presence that will drive value for our business. • Evaluate and suggest new technology solutions for both internal teams and FINCA’s audience • Explore potential technology partnerships and new business models, externally and within the oganization. • Create new processes to streamline development and implementation

Relationship Building: • Manage FINCA’s relationship with third party vendors, and recommend new ones that can increase our digital value. • Responsible for managing staff. • Own relationships with centralized technology teams, ensuring we are aligned with external digital organization, and prioritized for growth. • Interface closely with Content, Finance, Legal and Distribution teams.

  • Strong creative, business and technical skills required to deliver a cross-functional program.

  • Can effectively influence and negotiate at a senior level to achieve the best outcomes for the organization.

  • Strong cross functional team working skills with demonstrable evidence of building productive working relationships.

Technical Training:

  • Familiarity with application server, portal, document management, content management, and knowledge management technologies

  • Experience with content adaptation and game or web services/application development

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software applications Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

  • Above-average web knowledge/skills

  • Experience with digital marketing tactics and tools
