We are located in Islamabad , Karachi , Lahore and Faisalbad.

We are looking for an experienced Engineer to join our Enterprise services team. Primary responsibilities will be to engineer, install, maintain and support our Enterprise Infrastructure and servers environments. With your proven track record you will provide guidance on best practices on storage, servers, OS (Windows, Linux, HP), hypervisors OVS and implement them in the environment. 

 Position Responsibilities

• Responsible for the Implementation, management and operational support of large complex storage arrays and their related systems.


• Engineer, implement and maintain complex enterprise Servers from HP to Huawei and OS.


• Provision and allocate storage between storage arrays and server assets (Windows and Unix Based), assignment of RAID levels, LUN configurations and expert/hands on in data migration.


• In collaboration with other architecture and engineering teams (System Engineering, Database Administration, Network Services and Application Development), analyze and design enterprise storage systems, and servers used for Customer Data Management, high transaction database processing and storage. Manage the subsequent implementation, documentation and maintenance of said systems.


• Working with other Information Technology staff, Project Management Office and business units gather, analyze and translate business requirements into a solution design for new installations or upgrades to existing platforms.


• Serve as the technical engineer and lead on projects, including coordinating the installation, maintenance, repair and replacement of hardware and software with end users, vendors and Information Technology staff and vendors performing contracted work.


• Provide technical leadership for Infrastructure projects, including switch upgrades and installations, disk consolidations, preventive maintenance during regularly scheduled maintenance windows in accordance with internal change management processes and procedures


• Management of all storage infrastructure software versions, installations, upgrades and patch installations


• Responsible for the development of documentation to perform tasks listed above

·         RCA preparation and meeting SLA for RCA submission.

·         Planning and implementing fixes / Patches

·         Escalation of Disk management task on production system from L0 team.

·         Complex Health Checking.

·         Analyze Problems & escalate to appropriate Levels.

·         Act on Day to Day House Keeping tasks by using tools & scripts

·         To able to perform in 24 x 7 Environment

·         To able to attend calls on call basis whenever assigned

·         Work with Change & Problem Management Tools

·         Create regular reports for Management requirements.

·         Problem determination and resolution within Expected time frame.

·         Perform Root Cause Analysis for the incidents.

·         Identify and recommend improvements to existing processes.

·         Escalations handling.

·         Coordination with Server managers/ other teams.

Requirements

• Three or more years of experience with engineer, deploy and administer storage arrays, HP (Itanium) servers, Huawei servers performance analysis, migrations, replication, etc. Very good understanding of concepts and architecture, capacity reporting/planning.


• Hand on experience on Adaptive Optimization, Performance monitoring and management using CLI and System Reporter, vendor management, Linux, OVS, HP Integrity Servers of HP BL server blade and OS


• Strong time management, as well as organizational and communication (written and oral) skills are required.


• Ability to provide off hours and weekend support for the enterprise storage infrastructure, as well as other duties as required and/or assigned


• Experience with automating server and storage configurations via scripted procedures on both Windows and UNIX based OS is required.


• This position requires a team player with ability to manage their work load amongst changing priorities, alternating between project/design and high level operational support.


• Experience working in both Windows and Unix-based environment with comfortable familiarity with operating system commands and operations


• Good interpersonal skills, with ability to work across functional lines, and at many levels. Ability to work on assigned tasks independently and executes with minimal direction. Must be able to work on multiple projects simultaneously, meet project deadlines, and work under pressure Experience with on call, escalations and troubleshooting is a must.
