Skills Required:

• Support in assessments tasks and make recommendations in relation to the Project
• Provide clear technical solutions for the WASH related civil works 
• Where requested, contribute technical inputs to support  project like Latrines construction, Hand pumps installation, Sanitation Schemes at community and Institutional level
• Support the PM in designing affordable and preferred Latrine structure 
• Support to prepare bidding documents. 
• Cooperate and coordinate closely with PM and affected community for planning activities at field level
• Advice and provide technical support to affected communities wherever needed and support PM in his/her technical training where requested
• Work in a team with Sub Engineers and Social Mobilizers and provide them technical expertise at field level where necessary 
• Support beneficiaries at field level in distribution of sanitary materials whenever necessary. 
• Support Project Manager with coordination and communication with contractors executing WASH related activities, to ensure proper and timely implementation and meet set quality standards, according to contract with Muslim Aid 
• Undertake any other related work as may be assigned by the PM
• Strict compliance with the agreements and BOQs

Reporting & Monitoring:

• Report – in writing - on a weekly basis development and challenges faced while implementing engineering works in field
• Support M&E officer to capture relevant field data for monitoring and evaluation purposes

Essential:

• Experience in WASH related designs (Latrines, Hand pumps etc) and preparation of technical documents.
• Experience in coordinating participatory planning and supervision of Latrine construction
• Good knowledge on low cost latrine promotion.
• Capable of cooperating with contractors while executing project
• Capable of working collaboratively in a team
• Experience of working in isolated area in a multi-cultural environment
• Capacity to identify technical training needs
• Pro-active attitude
• Good analytical skills
• Excellent communication skills

Occupational Specific: AutoCAD, CADD engineering. 

Technical Skills: MS Office especially in Word, Excel and Power Point
