Based in UK & Europe who manufacture plain and printed labels in both roll and sheet formats for B2B and B2C customers, across a broad range of market sectors and industry types. The company, trading as AA Labels has been in existence for 13 years and is continuing to experience strong growth, making it one of the leading suppliers of labels in the UK.

AA Web Solutions is seeking a full-time Project Manager for its PHP Development Team. This individual will consult on the direction & strategy of company’s PHP practice, code solutions to client business problems, and ensure growth of developers within the PHP development team.

Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership to development resources across our organization


• Consult on technical solutions for both internal and external stakeholders


• Design and code solutions to meet defined business requirements


• Enforce and improve organizational development standards and best practices


• Prioritizing project demands and tasks.


• Tracking hours spent against the budget available, ensuring the project is completed with the allocated resources.


• Managing expectations.


• Recognizing and troubleshooting issues.


• All necessary support will be provided for smooth execution of projects.


• keep a track and reviews on existing projects to identify bottlenecks, bugs, performance issues and involve the team to study and learn from existing projects.


• Must possess excellent attention to detail and be able to familiarize and quickly learn new Software/ framework/ languages/ technology with ease.


• Must be able to apply innovative thinking at work.


• Work closely with the director based overseas on all aspects of team management.


• Undertake any other reasonable duties required to support the business from time to time


• Set and maintain coding standards and practices

Skills and abilities

• Must have at least 2 years of prior experience as a project Manager and has the management skills.


• Ability to manage multiple projects at one time and meet deadlines.


• Ability to work well in a team environment.


•  Demonstrated ability to plan, organize and prioritize responsibilities in order to consistently meet deadlines.


• Demonstrated ability to make good decisions based upon a mixture of analysis, wisdom, experience and judgment.


• Demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple projects and tasks.


• Proficient in PHP, JavaScript, MySQL, AJAX, jQuery, CSS/HTML & Hosting server management.


• Demonstrated attention to details


• Excellent written and oral communication skills


• Web application security and optimization concepts


• Experience with SVN (GitHub or similar)
